Purpose of the role:

Reporting to the Compliance Director, the health and safety advisor will be able to work within the health and Safety department support the operational departments on all matters of health and safety. The health and safety advisor will be able to work with the Project Management teams to ensure that the projects are delivered safely but also provide assistance to the site based teams with advice at that level.

General Duties/Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with pre-construction information;

  • Compiling construction phase plans;

  • Producing project site files;

  • Undertaking site inspections;

  • Producing method statements and risk assessments;

  • Providing the business with competent health and safety advice;

  • Reviewing surveys and reports;

  • Carry out toolbox talks;

  • Maintain and continually improve the company’s 18001 and 14001 standards and systems;

  • Carry out accident and incident investigations;

  • Carry out pre-qualification of sub-contractors.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum Tech IOSH. NEBOSH General/Construction, NVQ 4/5/6, CSCS card, IEMA, APS, knowledge of the CDM 2015 regulations, experience in the construction/M&E/retail sectors.

  • Full Clean Driving Licence and access to a motor vehicle
