Purpose of the role:

Working within a busy, well established Electrical Contractor providing a high level of service and workmanship to a demanding and changing market, the ideal candidate will be able to work as a team or individually.

Candidates will be of a trustworthy nature, presentable and with a positive attitude; as the need to work remotely, or as part of a wider team, on a mix of short duration or longer term schemes; they will portray the company.

Must have high standards of work along with a good working ethic with attention to detail and fully compliant with the 18th edition wiring regulations. In return on offer is a competitive reflected hourly rate with opportunities to progress within the company.

They must be flexible and punctual as the working environment is fluid and changes constantly.

The role is predominantly working away Sunday nights through to Thursday nationwide, however some works are on days Mon – Fri. The rates offered reflect this pattern. Generally will be working on various rollout, reactive or programmed works for major retail clients; vehicle, accommodation and subsistence is provided.

General Duties/Key Responsibilities:
  • Retail / Commercial electrical installation including small power, lighting, fire alarm, containments, LV distribution
  • Test & Inspection of installation
  • Electronic Reporting and updated the Project Managers of the installation, progress and works
  • Provide detailed scoping reports from any surveys
  • Fault finding and rectification
  • Understanding and reading basic CAD layout drawings, scoping reports and compiling material requisitions
Qualifications:
  • Valid UK Driving Licence
  • IPAF 3a, 3b
  • ECS Gold Card
  • 18th Edition Wiring regulations
  • PASMA – Beneficial but not essential
  • SPA Card – Beneficial but not essential
  • Valid Asbestos Awareness – Beneficial – training will be provided where required
  • First Aid – Beneficial but not essential – training will be provided where required
  • SSSTS / SMSTS – Beneficial for future progression
