Premium retailer Selfridges’ flagship Oxford Street store underwent a £300m redevelopment project to create more sales floor space and to create an even greater opulence for the shopper.
The principal contract left a ‘white box’ area for us to redefine into a magical space for colleagues to replicate the opulence of the front of house scene.
We worked alongside designers to manufacture and fit-out a new colleague entrance café, testing feedback on many finishes until we reached a conclusive specification and could move into production.
Finest quality timber, exquisite marble and high quality fittings were used throughout with attention paid to every detail; the grain of the solid wood flowed in the same direction throughout.
We set up the whole café installation off site in a workshop where the client decision makers could visit to ensure they were happy before it was disassembled and shipped to London for on-site installation.
Working alongside other Joint Venture companies, we communicated and collaborated to ensure a smooth installation.
On completion, our client described it as ‘The cherry on top of the cake’.
